Ziegra are pleased to announce that in 2017 all machines from 30kg to 250kg will be upgraded to our CoolNat specification as standard, which uses R290 as the refrigerant.
The graphic on the right shows a ZBE30-10 CoolNat model.
This new specification combines excellent technical performance with a low environmental footprint and improved energy efficiency. As an example, the previous model ZBE30-10 was 0.4kW, but the new CoolNat model is now only 0.3kW.
R290 is a natural hydrocarban refrigerant that is one of the most environmentally friendly, non-toxic and thermodynamically efficent available. It has a zero ozone depletion potential and a very low global warming potential of less than 5.
Conversely, the outgoing R404a, which will be banned in 2020 has an extremely high global warming potential that is harmful to the environment.
For customers who prefer, there will also be models available with R452a as a special order only.
