Q. How do you help the ladies in this office appreciate just how rewarding it is to brew up.
A. I don't know but there has to be a way. As Gandhi once said;
" Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony"
As we all know, you are only as good as your last brew and perfecting the perfect brew needs a great deal of practice. I see it almost as a life long quest. Aspiring to reach the heady heights of brewing perfection is where we should all be striving to reside. Therefore it is our duty to help the ladies to see the bigger brewing picture. As Andy Cap once said "You are what you brew"
However, this may not be quite so straight forward in our case. There is obviously a deep routed phobia, for there to be such a resistance to making tea. It could be a fear of hot water and lets face it, hot water can be dangerous or it could be the smell of tea but I'm ruling this one out, as they all seem to have absolutely no problem drinking it, which also rules out allergies.
Another theory could be muscle fatigue. It could be that they all suffer from muscle fatigue and they are therefore conserving energy by limiting the amount of walking they do, to the journey to and from the car in the morning, at lunch time and at home time.
Alternatively and if true sadly, It could be that they just have not grasped the unparallelled joy that comes from making tea for others.
That said, let us not lose heart, for even if the latter is true, there is still hope for them because even if this is the case, there is still a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. There is still the possibility that we may lead them to enlightenment.
